It truly is a wonderful life, and Holly and Sam's wedding made it even more wonderful! Their wedding was a breathtaking day of magic, love, and Mike Piper! I highly recommend Mike, with An Affair to Remember for your wedding coordination and florals. Everything ran smoothly, looked incredible and truly made for an unforgettable evening of whimsy in a wintery wonderland filled with vintage details and luscious florals. I love Holly and Sam and their families and I was truly honored to document their first steps together as husband and wife. Holly looked gorgeous in her Lazaro gown from AniA Collection, and shoes from Vera Wang. Courtney Rogers did all the beautiful makeup and Heather from Dezi salon created the stunning updos. We started at The Nines, Portland's premier boutique hotel, for the getting ready and first glance. The ceremony took place at the University of Portland chapel and the reception was held at the Portland Left Bank Annex, a super unique event space. The theme of the evening was inspired by It's a Wonderful Life, the famous Frank Capra film from 1946. I loved that it was playing silently in the background throughout the evening! The talented Judy with Dream Cakes made the incredible cake and Eric Wright with All Wright Music emceed the evening and kept the dance floor packed! Vibrant Table made sure the food was perfect and delicious and Hybrid Moon filmed the evening's celebrations. The candlelit ceremony and reception warmed the guests, while Holly and Sam's amazing energy and true love filled their hearts.

Holly and Sam are the perfect definition of true love. Their rehearsal dinner at the N. Portland Firehouse Restaurant was nothing short of perfect. The ambiance with the exposed brick, amazing flowers and soft candlelight provided the hip yet cozy backdrop to a fun night. I felt honored to document the toasts about childhood stories, true laughter and a great family union. Firehouse was a delight with great service and delicious food. An unforgettable night with two amazing people and their wonderful families! Stay tuned for their remarkable wedding soon!

Kelly and Joel and I met up in early Autumn and we started the shoot at the SW Waterfront and continued onto the beautiful Rhododendron Gardens. Kelly and Joel have been dating for a long while and have continued through college and now, onto grad school. Joel is currently studying business and Kelly just finished medical school and is applying for residency. This couple is kind, gorgeous and intelligent and I'm honored to be working with them both for their May wedding at the Governor! 

 

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Nathan's wedding on October 1st at the historic and beautiful Timberline Lodge. Their love is so flirty-fun and poetic and I had a blast photographing this amazing couple. Stephanie looked stunning in her dress which was a beautiful Wtoo by Watters dress. Nathan and all the guys looked awesome wearing classic and timeless tuxes which I think works well for an autumn ceremony and adds a sophisticated elegance. I loved the NW flair they added with the sapling favors, the earthy colors and the super fun dancing. Michelle with Amore Fiori created all the stunning flowers. Lynn with Media Jockeys kept the flow of the party and the dancing going all night! Thanks so much Stephanie and Nathan for choosing me to photograph your stellar wedding!

Erica and Cort are filled with great energy and love and laughter. Their wedding at Skamania Lodge was a lot of fun and style. Even though the day was a bit rainy, we were able to get some great shots of the views of the Columbia River Gorge. I loved the orange and grey color palette and Erica and Cort looked beautiful. The party was really fun and the couple made a DIY photo booth, which kept the laughs and snaps happening. Cupcake Jones created the yummy cupcakes. umm... I'm speechless with this one. in LOVE!  Tresa and Ted are an incredible couple and Erica and I had a blast photographing their day at the Metolius River Lodges and the House on the Metolius. The location was enchanting with views of Mt. Jefferson and the Cascades. The bride's lovely dress was from Ania Collection, and the groom's rad custom suit was from Duchess Clothier. Tresa and Ted used all local produce and beef and The Well Traveled Fork did a great job catering, the food was delicious! I loved the little friends the couple included in their day like their cute puppy and all the cake toppers and table place cards. Adorable! Thanks SO very much Tresa and Ted, meeting you both and photographing your wedding reminded me why I love my job so much! Thanks!

Kristina and Aaron tied the knot at the lovely Riverplace Hotel in SW Portland. I love this spot, as it's on the water front and the views are lovely. Kristina and Aaron are a fun-loving and creative couple and I loved their Mad-Lib style invite and their VooDoo Doughnut cake, which  they requested in their color palette. Elijah and I had a blast photographing their day and thanks K&A for choosing Jessica Hill Photography to document your fun wedding!

John and Christine have a wonderful love and their wedding was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Seriously awe inspiring smiles were had by all, with the perfected experience of Mike Piper with An Affair to Remember handling coordination as well as all the gorgeous and romantic blooms. The Waverley Country Club is one of my favorite Portland Venues and I am so honored to have documented J&C's love! Christine wore a rad Melissa Sweet Gown and John looked dapper in an Indochino custom suit. Hope you love the pics and thanks so much for sharing your day with me!

Sara and Will's amazing wedding took place at the stunning Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. This is one of my favorite places to photograph, I love the architecture, the alpenglow at dusk, the fire, a snow capped mountain top and wildflowers. Love this spot. Sara and Will's great energy and style made it even better plus s'mores made by the guests!! Sara's hair and makeup looked soft and beautiful, done by the lovely Kirstie, of Kirstie Wight Makeup.  The gorgeous organic wild flower bouquets were created by Lisa with Bloomsberry Floral. Thanks Elijah for second shooting. Congrats to a great couple!

I was excited when Mandi with Champagne Events contacted me to document a unique and beautiful take on a Halloween wedding for Style Unveiled, an amazing national wedding blog. I loved the lush deep color palette and the Lolich Farm was a perfect backdrop for the rustic and autumn landscape. It was SO fun working with a huge group of talented and creative wedding professionals. Concept shoots are a lot of fun because at a usual wedding, photographers don't get to work directly with the creatives involved like the florist, the cake artist, or an entire team of stylists. Adrianne and Daren's dream day was garden-inspired and gorgeous! I'm so honored that A&D chose mt to document their destination wedding in Livermore Valley Wine Country in California. The ceremony and reception took place at the stunning Casa Real at Ruby Hill Vineyard. Adrianne looked absolutely beautful in her Angel Sanchez gown, and Daren was a handsome groom with his Louis Vuitton cufflinks and white tie/vest combo.
