Holly and Sam are the perfect definition of true love. Their rehearsal dinner at the N. Portland Firehouse Restaurant was nothing short of perfect. The ambiance with the exposed brick, amazing flowers and soft candlelight provided the hip yet cozy backdrop to a fun night. I felt honored to document the toasts about childhood stories, true laughter and a great family union. Firehouse was a delight with great service and delicious food. An unforgettable night with two amazing people and their wonderful families! Stay tuned for their remarkable wedding soon!

Wedding-Receptions-Portland-12.jpg Wedding-Receptions-Portland-9.jpg Wedding-Receptions-Portland-15.jpg Wedding-Receptions-Portland-17.jpg Melanie and Eric had an intimate wedding ceremony in Vegas in early 2011 and threw a big fun Hawaiian reception in Portland in early June. Both Melanie and Eric brought their great families together as one, and it was a perfect opportunity to get some beautiful family photos. Everyone joined the party at the Hawaiian Bamboo Grille in SW Portland for a wonderful luau. Hula and a ukulele player were the entertainment and it was fun for all ages! Great food, music and love made this relaxed wedding reception unforgettable!

The Oregon Bride Best Of Party was the bridal event of the season! I had the wonderful opportunity to document the day, which included the highly anticipated awards ceremony and fashion show. The night started with a bang at the beautiful Oregon Historical Society with the Heathman Hotel catering, and a killer bar from Fluid Bartending. The decor looked incredible with lush oranges and modern whites. The flowers by Zest set the tone and the coordinating and planning from Bridal Bliss. Both very talented wedding professionals. Cupcake Jones and the Candy Buffet were on deck with yummy treats and a ton of stunning gowns were strutted down the runway from a lot of my favorite bridal boutiques. Hybrid Moon created a fun video and the night was a total success! Thanks for the fun Oregon Bride, and as always, I'm loving the new issue! Check out our "Local Weddings of Note" featuring Britt and David's darling September wedding!

The foundation of a wedding is love, and the foundation of the wedding industry is community. That's why I love concept shoots! It's a great way to create a specific style for a wedding idea and have fun with other wedding professionals. Tog and Porter recently contacted me about this fun event they were hosting at Robert's Salon of Portland. My first question was, "What's Tog&Porter?" Ellie, the adorable and talented event designer, let me know that it's an online personal shopping experience, unlike any other. This is how it works: you meet with your personal stylist over Skype, and they will learn what you like, dislike, colors that look good on you, your favorite features, measurements, etc and they will create a awesome box of clothes to ship to you at no charge. If you like the clothes, you keep them, if you don't like them, or they don't fit, you ship them back at no charge. Kind of awesome, right?! Check out all the info at the Tog&Porter website, and be sure to check out their video!
