014.jpg  016.jpg 017.jpg Michelle and Alex have been married for over two years and inquired about an "engagement shoot for married couples" last fall. I love the idea of getting great photos taken of you and your honey long after you've said your I Do's. It's a great time to get photos of you and your spouse for your living room, your family or even your facebook page! It was so great bonding with Alex and Michelle over our hometown of Ann Arbor Michigan! Go Blue! Alex and Michelle practice Kung Fu and ended the session with some beautiful forms. Michelle also manages Oblation, the amazing invite shop and paper boutique in the Pearl, which I highly recommend for save the dates or wedding invites! I also want to thank Chris Jernigan for assisting me! Hope you love the sneak peek Alex and Michelle!

Sara Gray:

I love these photos Jessica! And I agree - why shouldn't we be photographed after we're married? Keep up the good work!

Michelle:

Great shots, Jessica. We loved working with you -- you are great. And yes, I definitely recommend that married people get photos taken a few (or many) years in. Alex and I had so much fun and talked about our shoot for days afterwards. (The crazy guy, the mud, the cold, the kissing in public:) I can't wait to see all the rest!

About a month after Sarah and Luke's incredible and intimate wedding in the pristine Washington mountains, they planned a reception in the great city of St. Louis, their hometown. All their family and friends greeted them Seattle Style! The reception at the Deer Creek Club was a blast with creative and fun references everywhere! Starbuck Coffee bags and The Seattle Times doubled as vases for the fresh flowers brought from Pike Place Market, rainboots acted as a holder for their guest sign-in pens, and hat umbrellas as party favors! Sarah and Luke are such cool people and their families are a ton of fun!  Erica and I had the honor of traveling to photograph their stellar party and we also got a chance to hang out in this cool city with my friends, Kelda and Michael, whose wedding I photographed back in 2007!  Love it:)

When Ecotrust contacted me about photographing an event at their new space, I was thrilled! knowing how awesome their roof-top terrace is, I knew that the Center for Architecture would be a unique venue for networking meetings, events and weddings. Travel Portland held their monthly meeting here and hosted an array of amazing vendors, including the yummy Cupcake Jones, the delicious Food in Bloom Catering and Owen Vineyards, a local and distinct winery with delectable wine... Try the Yakima Valley Red... it's my fave! Thanks so much to all who made this event a success! If you're looking for a unique and open space to host a small wedding reception, check out the Ecotrust's website get more info about the Center For Architecture.. The windows open to reveal a nice walk-out to the heart of the Pearl District!
