Erica and Mike are a splendid couple that I had the honor of photographing last month. Their unique afternoon wedding took place on June 13th at the incredible Portland White House. I love photographing the White House, which is a historic Bed and Breakfast located in NE Portland and filled with vintage antiques and furniture. Erica and Mike's intimate affair was vintage-inspired and filled with unique and fun details. Erica created her own feather hair piece as well as the fun pink bridesmaid's hair clips. The feathers were also Incorporated into the boutonnieres, made by the talented folks at Broadway Florist. The colors were hot pink and soft blue, with vintage birdcages as centerpieces and a cake topper from the 1930's that Erica's dad painted to match the couple! (so cool and adorable) The ceremony and reception were filled with happiness and love and I am SO happy to have been in attendance. Hope you love the sneak peek Erica and Mike and Congrats! Your comments are appreciated if you have the time :)

Kudos on the first photo with Mike holding the flowers out at the side and Erica standing stiffly beside him. An evocative and very vintage pose.

I'm honored to announce that I have been selected to be 1 of 20 photographers featured on the My Portland Photographer blog! The blog was started last year by a group of well-established and extremely talented Portland-area photographers. My Portland Photographer is an incredible opportunity for some of the best Portland photographers to post just one or two favorite images once a week, along with a brief story about the image or event. It's exciting to see such a great community of photographers bringing their own unique style to the same website. The blog is a true collaboration of artists!  I love blogging on MPP because I can pick my absolute favorite images to feature, not just the standard cake-cutting, first dance fare that's expected. Check out my newest post here, which features Adam and Tarina's hip wedding. Look for the Jessica Hill Photography posts every Monday!

Michelle and Dave are an awesome couple that I'm so honored to have met! We recently photographed their engagements at Cathedral Park in St. John's. We snuck out on the bridge for some incredible views of Gothic towers. Needless to say that I'm super excited about shooting their August wedding at David Hill Vineyards :) Thanks so much M&D and hope you love the blog preview! Your comments are encouraged!

Last month, I had the pleasure of heading to the Oswego Lake Country Club to photograph the Women's Council of Realtor's Fashion Show and Dinner. The show featured ton's of great music, food and fashion! My friend, Yasmin Khajavi with Stewart title of Oregon, (and an incredible photographer) helped coordinate the entire show and did a great job! The hip designs were by the Maytee, Parallel and Lucia! Thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of the fun!
